Batemans Bay Sunday Market is held on the first and third Sunday
of every month beside the beautiful Clyde River on the
waterfront foreshore precinct in Batemans Bay CBD.
No weekend on the coast is complete without a visit to these
markets on a Sunday morning. With fantastic stalls, great music,
plenty of parking in Batemans Bay CBD and a beautiful location
on the foreshore precinct, the Sunday Market has something for
everyone!
Organized by Rotary Batemans Bay, the market regularly has up to
60 stalls selling clothes, food, collectables, plants, hobbies,
gifts, antiques, wood products, bric a brac and more.
Visitors can enjoy live music from local artists, great coffee
and good bargains all in a pleasant location beside the river.

Located at Batehaven, Observation Point is a lookout and picnic area with fabulous views overlooking the beach out to the beautiful Snapper Island.
This easily accessible lookout boasts fabulous views westward
overlooking the beach out to Snapper Island and northeast to the
Tollgate Islands. Recently upgraded with several new viewing
platforms, native gardens Aboriginal art and shady seating.
This lookout will form the gateway to the Coastal Headlands
Walking Trail, a 14.5-kilometre track that will link the
headlands and beaches between Batehaven and McKenzies Beach.
Heading south from Batemans Bay, take Beach Road to Batehaven.
Continue past the shopping centre, taking the first left turn
after the traffic lights to Observation Avenue at the top of the
hill. The stairs on the western side lead down to Corrigans
Beach.
Pause for a bite to eat or just take in the view at this popular
lookout point.

The Moruya Museum houses a collection of furniture, books,

display were donated by local families, resulting in an eclectic
mix of considerable charm and interest.
The Museum Building - The Emmott House
Abraham Emmott, a migrant from Yorkshire, reached Moruya in 1859
and set up a general store in Vulcan Street, and the name of
Emmotts held good for over a century. In 1875, Abraham built a
pair of semi-detached houses, using a standard North of England
design. The bricks were made locally and now show their age and
the lack of firing in their making. Abraham's house is now
home to the Moruya Museum.

purchase from any SFM stall holder adheres to the SFM philosophy

Traditionally, Dreaming tracks or Song Lines link the places
visited by Aboriginal people, the Bingi Dreaming track links
campsites, ceremonial and trade sites, fresh water and plentiful
coastal food sources. Along the way, you might see stone
artefacts or patches of shell middens.
The walk passes through different types of coastal habitat;
there are great opportunities for birdwatching among the
heathlands, forests and lakeshores and you’re likely to see
kangaroos and wallabies relaxing in the sun. If you’re walking
during whale watching season, be sure to stop off at one of the
vantage points along the way for a glimpse of the majestic
creatures, as well as panoramic views of Gulaga (Mount
Dromedary) and Baranguba (Montague Island).
Stretching from Congo in the north to Tuross Head in the south,
you can start the 14 kilometre walk from either end, or break it
up into a few shorter walks to enjoy over a couple of days.

A paved path leads to a lone Norfolk Island Pine, marking the Tuross headland lookout with glorious ocean views.
Tuross Head is a picturesque coastal village, perched on a
low-lying headland between two stunning lakes - Tuross Lake and
Coila Lake. The peninsula is dotted with Norfolk Island Pines
standing tall and elegant above superb beaches.
One Tree Point is a popular picnic area with barbeques, cycle
path and car parking, situated at the southern end of One Tree
Beach and north of Main Beach. The views from One Tree Point
lookout are expansive and offer a good land-based vantage point
for whale watching in the spring.

Surf Beach, Narooma has two amazing sites of ancient geological significance and beauty at either end of the sandy beach.
Surf Beach, Narooma has two amazing sites of ancient geological
significance and beauty at either end of the sandy beach. At the
southern end lie the imposing Glasshouse Rocks; a photographers
dream and dated between 510 and 440 million years old. They are
possibly the most photographed rocks along the Eurobodalla
coastline.
At the northern end of the beach there is a display of igneous
pillow lava which formed through the lava flow of a submarine
volcano.
How to get there: At low tide you can walk to the rocks from
Surf Beach carpark, around the headland to Glasshouse Rocks.
Here you will see more of the rocks, which are impressive in
stature. The pillow lava display is easily accessed along the
beach, approximately 300m north of the carpark.
For headland views, follow Glasshouse Rocks Road and veer left
onto Cemetery Road and the Narooma Cemetery carpark. Head past
the cemetery on foot towards the white fence.
To access the beach, you can walk around the fence into bush to
access a track (no signs). At the fork in the trail veer left
down a fairly steep dirt track. At the beach head south to reach
Glasshouse Rocks.
Exercise caution! The track is not suitable for the mobility
impaired, elderly or young children and is not signposted.
